Yale schedule for 2011-12 set

We were waiting on the final non-conference date for Yale, which is a New Year's Day matinee with Bentley at Ingalls Rink. Waterloo is in for the Canadian scrimmage to "open" the season on Oct. 22, and the Russian Red Stars return on Dec. 30 for the exhibition.

The Ivy Shootout is at Dartmouth this season. In the final year of the agreed four-year rotation, this could be it for the Shootout. Non-conference games aren't easy to schedule, which is a reason the Ivy Shootout came about, but Keith Allain said earlier this year he would explore finding true non-conference games instead.

Boston College comes to Ingalls for a 4 p.m. date on Nov. 26, easily the highlight of the non-conference slate. The Eagles last played in New Haven in January 2005 (BC won 1-0, despite a 50-11 shot advantage for the game). Yale will also play a regular-season game at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport against Sacred Heart, though the Tuesday before Thanksgiving might make that a tough sell.

Here's the full schedule.
